CASE STUDY | THE MOORS, KIDLINGTON

Type: 54 extra-care apartments with supported living amenities

Set across a two- and three-storey building, this bespoke facility is designed with a traditional appearance to create a sense of home and belonging, its mass broken by strong design features.  The 54 apartments and guest facilities are connected by generous, light corridors to an array of communal amenities including a lounge, restaurant, laundry, activities room, hairdressing salon, and an assisted bathing suite.

Each apartment has a visual link with nature, and the generous communal gardens which surround the building complement its natural setting.  The design achieved a BREEAM Very Good rating and is now tenanted by The Order of St Johns.

careful detailing breaks the building down into elements, providing identity and a sense of place
