Project: Passive House
Zebra received an interesting and challenging brief for the redevelopment of Woodnorton Farmhouse in Worcestershire. The scheme was for a replacement dwelling, which due to the planning constraints, was not to deviate from the property to which it was replacing. However due to the nature of the clients degenerative health condition, the replacement dwelling was to serve these needs. The brief was to minimise pollution within the property by limiting air movement, the provision of carer accommodation and full wheelchair accessibility. The scheme was designed to passive house standards which adopted a fabric first principle whilst internally the concentration on clear unobstructed horizontal and vertical movement was critical.
